Our Rosé is an elegant, soft, fruity and refined style, with flavours of strawberries, raspberries, cherries, savoury spices and hints of turkish delight. The sweet berry flavours are balanced by soft velvety tannins, and flavours of nougat. It is best served chilled.

Grown in the Geographe wine region in our Whicher Ridge vineyard at Chapman Hill is planted on a north facing slope, on gravelly ironstone, sandy loam soils.

Our Rosé is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, with small amounts of sauvignon blanc and viognier blended in after ferment to give the wine a slightly creamier texture, and longer flavour length. It is unashamedly a DRY style, modelled on the dry Provencale rosé styles, with a little more weight and mouthfilling flavours. For an extra special touch, we matured a portion of this rosé in old french oak barrels for 6 months before bottling.

Rosé is a French name given to a wine which is made by extracting some of the colour from the red grape skins, but not enough to qualify it as a red wine. The pink color can range from a pale "onionskin" orange to a vivid near-purple, depending on the grape varieties used and winemaking techniques. This style of wine is labelled as 'Rosé' in French, Portuguese, and English-speaking countries, 'Rosado' in Spanish, and 'Rosato' in Italian.

This wine is fruity, has a crisp acidity and a soft smooth texture, so the recommendation is to pair with dishes of similar texture. Using our wine sensory garden affinity beds as inspiration, flavours pairings are bay leaf, rosemary, black olive, oregano, sage, thyme, caraway, tarragon and mint, Beans, broccoli, kale, beetroot, carrots, pumpkin and lentils. It is delightful to sip while enjoying a tapas or cheese plate. Definitely needs to be served chilled.
